Bio:
Hi I'm Jeff Paradee and I am an Artist. I have been doing art for just a little over 10 years. Even though I'm only 26 I have been through a lot, struggled a lot, and lived a lot.
I have Muscular Dystrophy Duchenne's (a muscle weakening disease), because of the disease I've had many surgeries which include Bilateral lengthening and shorting on my ankle's in 1998, rods and pins in my back in 2005, and most importantly a heart transplant in 2007.
Recently in July 2013, I went into respiratory failure primarily due to the weakening muscles in my diaphragm, but also I had showering pulmonary emboli's, a fungal infection in my lungs, strep throat, pneumonia, and a blood clot my right leg. I actually only had two hours to live before my family called 911.They had to do a tracheostomy and put me on a ventilator, which I cannot be off of for more than 10 minutes or I cannot breathe, I'm so very fortunate and extremely lucky that I'm still here.
Even though I have had many struggles I try not to let it get me down, but instead I use it to influence my artwork. I can't work as big, or as fast as a normal person does, but I take it one step at a time and in the end I make it work!
I have a very supportive family that help me continue to keep my spirits up and stops me from giving up!
Art Style:
I can do all styles of art may it be Traditional, Abstract, Surrealism, Graphic Design, or otherwise. I can do many mediums too, Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic, Pen and Ink. I am a well rounded artist, but my niche' is Pen and Ink!
